Q. What kind of bikes do you work on?

A. Most makes & models (Japanese, British/European, American), generally up to 15 years old. Both street bikes & dirt bikes.

From Honda & Yamaha, to BMW, Triumph and Harley…and just about everything in between! We also work on scooters like Genuine and Vespa (sorry, not chinese-made).

You’ll get the full attention of a highly-skilled tech, and the option of after-market or OEM parts (we’ll even help you choose what’s best for your bike and your budget!). Did you know we’re the go-to dealer in Kitsap for motorcycle commuters, who count on quality repairs, dependable service, and great turn-around? That’s why our customers come from all over Puget Sound – Tacoma, Port Orchard, Bremerton, and Silverdale; Seattle, Bainbridge Island, Poulsbo, and Kingston; Port Ludlow, Port Townsend, and Port Angeles.

Sorry, we don’t work on ATVs, side-by-sides, or watercraft at this time.

Q. Will my warranty stay intact if you work on my bike?

A. Yes – and don’t let any dealership convince you otherwise. Your warranty, by law, remains in effect as long as the work was performed by a professional service center according to the maintenance schedule in your manual. That’s from your first 600-mile service, through the life of your bike.

Burton Motorsports is a WA State licensed, bonded and registered powersports dealer with MMI-certified technicians. And we’ve been in business since 1999!

Q. Can I bring in my own parts for service work?

A. Keep in mind that when you order your parts through Burton Motorsports, you’re assured of getting the right part, on time, and the highest quality. Internet parts are often seconds or old stock, don’t come with the correct fittings, and can be very hit or miss. And our prices are always fair. Besides, our insurance company said “no way!” So sorry, no; it’s a liability thing.

Q. I have an insurance claim. Do you work on insurance jobs?

A. Yes! Whether it’s a minor bump or requires major repairs, be sure to specify Burton Motorsports as your preferred repair shop!

We’ll happily coordinate your claim with your insurance company, replace parts with OEM or premium after-market options (whatever maximizes your coverage and meets requirements for your claim), and generally get you in and out in half the time of most other dealerships.

Our insurance customers are relieved at how we turn around an otherwise painful experience. And the insurance companies love working with us because we earn perfect scores during annual inspections, provide accurate and straightforward estimates, and get the job done quickly.

Q. Can you pick my bike up or come to me?

A.  Sorry, no. Insurance doesn’t allow us to pick bikes up, but we can recommend several good towing companies who are skilled at handling motorcycles. And if you have AAA, your towing is probably covered. Renting a U-Haul motorcycle trailer is a super-cheap option as well, if you have a receiver on your truck or car. As for working on your bike at your house, afraid not. Motorcycle service actually requires quite an extensive collection of specialty tools, unique parts, and toxic chemicals. A mobile service just can’t offer the caliber of work available in the shop.

Q. What kind of bikes do you sell?

A. Most of the OEMs, whether Japanese (Honda, Yamaha, etc.), European (BMW, Triumph, etc.), and American (Harley & Victory) — we specialize in pre-owned bikes. We hand-select each bike, so you’re getting the cream of the crop (not somebody’s cast-off). And then we carefully inspect it, make upgrades and service repairs, all before it ever hits the showroom floor. Because we’re so picky — most people think our bikes are brand new!! — we don’t carry as many as other dealers. Our goal is quality, not quantity. Our reputation is so strong, riders from Alaska to California come to Burton Motorsports to buy their bikes.

For lower cc scooters, we offer brand new Genuine Scooters. As the designated dealer for Kitsap County, you can trust we’ll be here year after year to back up their unmatched 2-year warranty.

Q. Do you accept trade-ins? consignments? or purchase my bike outright?

A. Yes, yes, and yes!!!

Q. Do you finance?

A. We’re happy to work with your bank, or will help you find the right lender given your credit history and the bike you’re dreaming of. We have personal relationships with dozens of lenders. We also offer onsite financing for Genuine Scooters, where we’ve arranged special terms only available through dealers. We do not, however, offer in-house financing.

And as an independent dealer, we don’t get “comped” to steer you to an in-house financing arm like the major OEMs (which ultimately cost you on the bottom line). Our efforts to help you secure financing are confidential, complimentary, and are focused on one thing . . . helping you achieve your dream.

Q. What kind of gear do you sell?

A. Helmets, jackets, gloves, riding pants, luggage, replacement parts, and even the right chemicals and tools if you’re a do-it-yourselfer.

No, we’re not the biggest guys in town. But everything we carry makes sense for the Northwest rider (not something that got 5 stars from some dude in Phoenix — seriously, who cares?). We’ll also help you find the right fit, because gear isn’t just about function; it’s also about safety. Not in stock? Not a problem, we’ll gladly order it for you!
